The Project is based on the LabREI structure for academic research, leveraging the equipment park. In addition, it will implement three microgrids, one of which is DC; a corporate one, on the Unicamp campus; and a residential, in a condominium. The project lasts for four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Develop, test and implement microgrids in normal (connected) and emergency (islanded) modes for long periods and \/ or in critical cases, supply the highest priority loads;<br>\u25cf Integration with the network to increase efficiency, reliability, quality of energy and service and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;<br>\u25cf Test different technologies and methods of control, supply and storage using simulations and laboratory tests before field applications;<br>\u25cf Conduct studies to contribute to the regulatory model for micro networks, operation and safety standards;<br>\u25cf Develop and study economic models and tariff systems for the economic viability of new businesses in micro networks.<br>\u25cf Propose cyber security strategies to protect the micro-network&#8217;s supervision, control and telecommunications systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fee.unicamp.br\/sites\/default\/files\/docentes\/antenor\/merge.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fee.unicamp.br\/sites\/default\/files\/docentes\/antenor\/cpfl.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MERGE is a R&amp;D project by CPFL, with the participation of Unicamp, UFMA and IATI-PE.
